Please rate our video! Take a narrated tour around the cemetery where Michael Jackson filmed his "Thriller" music video. Now, Miami Tour Company does not claim this is the cemetery where the big dance number was filmed, that was shot inside an old meatpacking plant in East LA, but the director's second unit crew did shoot B-roll footage here.

Note: The news crews you see at the end of the tour are here because the video was shot the day after Michael Jackson died.

From Miami Tour Company's Award Winning Tour:

"If you look out the window, youll notice an unusual graveyard you may have actually seen somewhere before. This is the Coconut Grove Bahamian cemetery, also known as Charlotte Jane Memorial Park. It was first used as a final resting place in 1906, when Bahamian immigrants moved a former cemetery here from another location. It employs the above-ground burial style used in the Bahamas. Since the cemetery is located at sea level, any flooding would cause the caskets to float around. Keeping the departed about a foot apart from each other in above-ground stone caskets can assure they stay in place. And if you feel it has a spooky aura, youre not alone. In 1983, pop star Michael Jackson chose this as the filming location for his famous music video Thriller!"

  • This is a complete con. The music video was shot entirely in Los Angeles. The sance sequence was not shot on a soundstage, it was shot at the intersection of Union Pacific Ave. & Los Palos St in downtown L.A. The graveyard was a set built in an East Los Angeles meatpacking plant.

  • That's bullshit! They didn't film it at a graveyard in Miami. They film that scene on a sound stage.

  • @Unsomnambulist yeah they were lying about filming it in miami.

  • Wrong. Why would they film every other scene from "Thriller" in East LA/Downtown LA, and then fly thousands of miles across the country to film one little scene in Florida?

  • Woah I Live Here,, Im in The Umbrella..

  • I think Thriller was filmed 1982 ?That voice in video says 1983 :D But maybe i'm just wrong

  • DUMB DUMB DUMB why why why

  • LIES!

  • @cuupcake0917 This part of Miami is to close to sea level so the caskets are above ground.

  • So this lie was actually narrated in the tour bus? Con artists making a quick buck.

  • BULL SHIT!!!!! I know this guy who worked on the props and it was filmed in L A

  • I was in Miami earlier this year and was like WTF are these people talking about! The tour operators seemed to say things that didn't add up. This is one of them, another, the Thriller Boat ride claimed Scarface's mansion was there, which it totally wasn't, didn't even resemble either (real one is in Cali) and then the same day 2 different tours showed us 2 different "madonnas" houses!
