Watch as Agriculture Educator Bradley Markhardt of Black River Falls, WI, hears some unexpected news, then talks about his successful practices in an interview with State Superintendent Tony Evers.

Markhardt excels at incorporating the community into his curriculum, for example by taking students to local agricultural and food science businesses.

Markhardt was later named the Wisconsin representative to the National Teacher of the Year Program for 2011-12.
