yeah this machine is great analogue vtr , i like its remember my IVC 9000 , a great machine too thas i use to record some videos samples from my dvds and laser discs.
Remmeber tape equipment has went from 2" Quads to 1 inch format to Betacam Oxide, Betacam SP( some station had Panasonic M11),to Digi Betacam ( same station had D-2) to DVCPRO,DVCAM and know HD.
Yeah .. those machines were a work of art ... 3 hours on a 14 inch reel of tape! I used to work with these machines. My favorite happens to be the AMPEX VPR-6 with a Zues (SP?) TBC very clean picture!!!
Where was this video taken? It seems to me like these helical-scan machines are being phased out too, or in some places have been retired in favor of digital video and HDCAM VTR's. Not that I work at a TV station, just an electronics geek here.
