Meeting with Dalai Lama

We met Dalai Lama on August 7, 2009 at the Inter Continental Hotel in Geneva. His Holiness shared his idea about mercy, He gave example: There was a Tibetan monk prisoned by Chinese for 18 or 19 years in jail, after he ran to Dharamsala to meet with Dalai Lama, and Dalai asked how about the jail, he told Dalai that it was quite dangerous because he almost lost mercy to Chinese who mistreated to him.
Dalai explained, there is a very important and beneficial practices when the Buddhist tries to have compassion to the person who torch him or her, it may not solve the problem but it is good for the Buddhist. Dalai Lama also teasing himself and his colleagues that He will anger when his colleagues do not do things right.

田秋堇問，在他面對中共屠殺那麼多藏人時，是否也會有焦慮、憂傷、憤怒？達賴回答，如果你生氣的話，正如西藏人所說的，就像咬自己的手指頭，除了傷害自己，沒有任何其他的­好處。達賴指出，佛教徒有「自他互換」的修練，要感受他人為何生氣、憤怒、嫉妒等負面的心態，然後再感受自己的忍耐、寬恕，雖然不能解決問題，但對自己的心有很大的好處。

達賴舉例，西藏有一位頌經師，八十年代逃到印度，在監獄中被關了十八、九年，他告訴達賴，有時候監獄中也有很危險的事，因為有時候懷疑是否會喪失對中國人的慈悲心態，他把­這件事視為很大的危險。所以對眾生的慈悲的思想，是我們的信仰與心態，這對心靈的平衡與平靜，是非常有效的。達賴大笑說，不過我並非不會生氣，有時候身邊的人做事沒做好，­我也會非常生氣。
