Unlike most large cities in the United States, the Dallas-Fort Worth area does not have a centrally located wildlife rehabilitation facility where animals can receive immediate care from trained professionals. Animals often die or suffer needlessly for hours -- or even days -- because individuals who find them are unable to locate a wildlife rehabilitator.
