Description - Mk II

I lost the original type I typed out so here it goes again...

One spring morning after a nightshift, and a little later in the morning I was driving. I attached the phone to the dash in the usual manner, started filming and tried to take the scenic route home...

I sort of knew at the crowded T-junction, that I should have turned left, but I went straight forward. It was fun, I found some incredible views and a nice 60mph single carriageway down a steep(ish) hill.

I started around Tony, ended up in Birstall, with cleckheaton, Wyke(?), and Bradford in between.

Music?
Artist: Lanark
Track: The Stone that the Builder Rejected
off the Hot Chip - DJ Kicks mix album (very very very good - go out and buy it, or buy it and download it).

This was filmed on the 23 May 2008, on a Nokia N93i blu-tak(tm)'d to my car's dash.

  • Nice song, perfect quality, and decent scenery makes the video worthwhile. Thanks for posting!

  • Facinating and great music. Took me a while to get my bearings then saw the Dunn centre.

  • home i love this place thanks was cool

  • too fast :) I can't recognize anything.

it's funny how you drive on the left :)

    it is totally confusing :)))

  • The total lack of strip malls and bill boards is absolutely refreshing. I'd love to do away with both in this country, but, alas, that would be "bad for business". :( It does freak me out when you make a right hand turn. :o Thanks for the look at a different reality.

  • i impressed, i do them vids all the time with a camcorder on my dash board, but i like the idea of speeding the film up.

I only film upload them if i catch something interesting, but speeding it up and putting music to it, makes it a much better film.

  • I remember doing similar years ago with a mate of mine using a crappy old camcorder :) Great fun.

Hey, you also drove through Birkenshaw, hub of the Universe, and you never mentioned it :) - Actually right past my house!

  • cool video

  • Could've got through them reds at 1:04.

    ;)

I don't live far from there.

  • Good drive, I might try that one day...but its never sunny, lol
