On Saturday evening in the Paul VI Hall, Pope Benedict XVI attended a concert given by the International Piano Academy of Imola.
The Chinese pianist Jin Ju performed music by Bach, Scarlatti, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt and Chajkovskij on seven different instruments, four fortepianos and three pianos, allowing for an appreciation of the evolution of the instrument and the different sounds of each era.
After the concert the Pope, thanked Maestro Franco Scala, founder and director of the International Piano Academy of Imola, and the pianist Jin Ju, and said:
