I went to a diner in Montgomery, AL one time and I marveled at the Southern accent of the waitress. I swear that I have never heard anything like that in Texas. She sounded like you but with a deeper voice.
That's when I realized that Texas isn't quite like the "Old South" and technically it never was: used to be Spanish/Mexican territory with an influx of both American and European settlers.

meh. it doesn't really sound THAT bad. it kinda reminds me of high school/college baptist girls from my church. some what. i think they worst part is when she says "accent" the "ak-seyent" drives me nuts. but over all. not ..awful. kinda.
