Sweet Home Alabama (Cover)

This is our band, 3rd Station, playing our own version of Sweet Home Alabama. This version was performed at a benefit ride for those afflicted with Parkinson's disease. For this show, 3rd Station played with Red Oak, a local Christian band. There are a few differences in our version vs. what Skynyrd played, including the changed tempos, alternating verses, and punchy chorus. Apologies, but the recording was done on a cheap handheld video camera, so the video and sound quality isn't that great.

I assume you play music? Thanks for the feedback, but you really should read the background on this video (main comment). This is our own version, modified to be true to our blues/rock style.  I do appreciate the constructive side of the criticism though, really. Thanks!

Let us know what you think! As a group, our two bands only had time to practice once before this show, for about an hour. We had about 15 songs in our set. Members of 3rd Station are me (the guy in blue), Ronnie (the guy in the middle), and Becky (not seen, on keys behind the bassist). Turnout was pretty good for this benefit, with about 100 standing spectators and about the same number of bikes. Not bad for a sleepy little town of less than 500 people!

this is a much more mellow version of the song in my opinion and the singers voice is to powerful for it, but could be toned down if ever recorded in a studio
