Sir Walter Raliegh was a great favourite of Queen Elizabeth 1. When a puddle of water was in the pathway of the Queen then Sir Walter threw down his cloak so that the Queen would not get her feet wet. Here in Greenwich his statue stands outside what was Greenwich Maritime Museum. But he was so famous - how come he is not next to Buckingham Palace?
