"During the confirmation hearing for Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE), Sen. Ted Cruz engaged in guilt-by-association tactics that reminded several observers (including this author) of former Sen. Joseph McCarthy (R-WI)'s baseless claim to have "a list" of Communists who had infiltrated the U.S. State Department."*

Tea Party Senator Ted Cruz has done a lot of great things in his term- like vote against everything and grill Sen. Chuck Hagel McCarthy-style. Now he's accusing Harvard Law staff of being communists and Marxists out to overthrow the government. Cenk Uygur, Michael Shure (Host, The War Room), and Wes Clark Jr. (Screenwriter, Consultant) discuss.

"Please show us where I said all the founders agreed upon everything."

The US was founded upon small government with civil rights granted to the individual. These rights are now being taken away by big government.

The S.C. has become favorable to big government with time along with the 2 parties and their presidents. This is only natural, as the supreme court is appointed by the 2 party presidency.

This is exactly why Jefferson didn't want parties. They rob the minorities of their rights

Nope. "racist" is a code-word for "racist".

The funny thing is that Cruz is probably better overall than Obama. But I guess you could say that about most everyone because of how Obama continued and expanded on much of Bush policy.

It's an example of big government as was mentioned previously. That was the entire point...and not whatever words you wish to put in my mouth.

It's not just an example of big government; it's an example of corporatism. A merger between the government and banks. The banks themselves wrote the Federal Reserve Act. It wasn't until the 16th in which they could legally steal from us.

I know how the system works and took macro a decade ago. BTW, it doesn't teach one how to predict upcoming events,

Abraham Lincoln once posited that calling a dog's tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.

Just the same, calling leftism conservatism doesn't make it conservatism. Yet that's exactly what we see today. There are leftists which actually call themselves conservatives. They're called the "neo-conservatives", and are a different branch of modern day leftist.

As Ronald Reagan admitted, the Classical Liberals (aka Libertarians) are the true US conservatives as they actually hold conservative values.

In core principle, if actually executed in the way that it should be, as it is in every sense of the way; YES, you're absolutely right.

But it has its way of being aplied to those political views.

If those who are in power warp its meaning, and keep pressing those views through corrupt ways, legislations that away certain right for example, it can be on a slippery slope toward of facistic point of view.

I'm not meaning this in the classical sense, its more of an observation of current issues.

Fascism is a primary ideology. The whole concept of fascist is a strong national identity and a care for the people of that nation. It is very socially right wing due to the care of preserving a national identity and not letting that identity change. The Nazi party was just one government which embraced fascism.

That is simply incompatible with communism, which states that everyone is equal and that no human is ultimately better than another.

.....and? So what if it would have been unconstitutional? Just because you don't agree with the 16th amendment doesn't make laws permitted because of it unconstitutional. Like I said, take a macro class, you have no idea how our banking system works.

Our current form of income tax in fact was unconstitutional before the 16th amendment. The 16th was required to not only tax as currently happens, but more importantly to support the bankers' federal reserve act of 1913.

Without the 16th, the largest banks would have never been able to implement their federal reserve legislation. This legislation is a scheme which takes money from the lower, middle, and upper classes only to give it to the bankers and ultra wealthy.

    BTW, I did actually.

lolwut? You implied that income taxation was unconstitutional before the 16th amendment (which isn't entirely true anyway, but I decided to not go into that) which is entirely irrelevant because the 16th amendment makes it constitutional regardless of its constitutionality before. I sincerely doubt you did any of those things lol. Idiots like peter schitt have been bitching and whining about this dollar collapse for years lol, listen to le brazilian economist Paulo Krugmano on this stuff bruh

Not true conservatism though; the conservatism which upholds the US constitution. This conservatism, or classical liberalism, is antithetical to both fascism and nazism.
