  • Excellent work. I go to Haiti every year to work in a clinic. Haiti is the poorest country in the Wester Hemisphere. It's good to see the USN reaching out.

  • I read that even veterinarian care is given to animals from the USNS Comfort in foreign realms. Surely it would be better to render medical care to American citizens before rendering care to animals in other countries?

  • I love the idea, but I would also prefer to see this humanitarian aide given first to the people who are paying the bill- the American people. I understand the need for diplomacy, but we can't afford to give to those in other countries before we have taken care of our own citizens. Why shouldn't the USNS Comfort visit American ports and render medical care here at home? If this is not possible, then surely a universal health care program is certainly in order.
