Like my grandpap says - "this outfit really puts rock music in its place"

@20FlightBlues the cramps did call there music rock'n'roll based on the blues! btw. they did not like psychobilly. there are many interviews where they say that.."The thing that makes rockabilly unique is the sexuality of it-it's real groove. Psychobilly today doesn't really have a groove. It's as if (the bands) are tryin' to make their quota in the factory. It doesn't seem sexual to me." Lux (Alternative Press Nov 2004)

@Menace1979 hell yes

They are psychobilly. Alternative psychobilly didn't exist till they showed up. Definitely not rockabilly by any means, so mix rockabilly with that alternative sound and you get psychobilly, which has some punk in it and there u go. They loved rock and roll especially rockabilly and oldies and just sang and played it their way and it wound up as psychobilly. Although early on they were sometimes labeled punk bc noone really knew how to categorize them then. Nevertheless a rare breed.

@tamerswan Sex Pistols and Ramones aren't hardcore punk! Unless you just mean like straight dedicated punk? Hardcore punk is actually a genre onto itself!:P Bands like Black Flag, Cryptic Slaughter, DRI, The Exploited even!
-
@tamerswan no they are Psychobilly...always have been and always will be up there with King Kurt and The Meteors
-
@ArmedAmerican88 it should be still up on dimeadozen(dot)org (torrent) as a .flac (for best possible quality). but you also can dl it from here with file2hd(dot)com and then burn it on a cd. stay sick!

@lemonsqueezermunich I wish it was, I have been into the cramps since the early 1980s.
Just like the ramones and the sex pistols.
Kinda funny.
i was was running around with a crewcut and a pair of 501s and a short sleeve T-Shirt and mountain boots while my friends were still listining to led zep and genisis.
I was into punk before punk was cool.
I really want this song on CD.
