Original Capitol records 45rpm.

Debuted 5/30/1981 on the Modern Rock chart and peaked at #7. However, it did not chart on the Hot 100 but "bubbled under" at #101.

One of my personal favs from the '80s and sounds much richer on vinyl!

  • That's what sux about 45's,they chop the song cutting out the guitar solo and drum roll

    finish!

    Jman

  • @Kabul81...very true. However, radio stations wouldn't play the longer versions and therefore for the song to get any airplay and sell off the record shelves they had to edit them down.

  • This song rules!

  • What's even cooler is that when you lift this promo copy up into the light it has a distinct green tint but looks normal on the turntable. I have several of these colored tint copies from the 80s. All of them happen to be on promo labels.

  • How many people have I wanted to say this to? A sign of their stupidity and my weakness.

  • @getula4003 Exactly!!

  • I didn't know this had even been released as a 45...

  • Kinda sounds like Van Halen's Little Guitars.

  • The Tubes' Best from 1981....Kick Ass Song! Much Obliged, ZMan. HOOAH!!

  • when they had to pee all the drugs out

  • They use to play the long versions years ago, called the LP version when they needed a long break. That was before they had music on reel to reel.

  • HEY ITS A GREAT SONG

  • This song makes me think about playing in a band at the beach at night and then I fuck all of the girls. Then I shoot everyone at the bar and then I shoot myself. I love this song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Loved it when it first came out! Thanks!
