  • what did you start feeding them once you got them i got just one queen no workers just a bout 7 eggs i a nother queen

  • i would offer a mixture of honey-sugar & water. the queen does not need food she has a food-reservoir inside her body. later you have to offer protein = insects.

  • oh well m8 evry body learns from there misstakes

  • yeah ... i did

  • well it was my fault ... i changed the cotton inside the nest which was responsible for the humidity. unfortunately the new cotton dried very quickly ... and the colony dehydrated. but it was too late when realized, most ants were already dead and the few survivers died a few hours later. since then the queen was on her own :( and now she also died ... perhaps of loneliness. i don't know ...

  • you got agnother colany yet

  • No but I am planing to get some exotic Camponotus ... Something bigger than Pheidole :)
