Austin Lipinski of the Sun Prairie Skate Park describes the proposed facility design for a new Sun Prairie Skate Park, which will cost an estimated $250,000 to construct just north of the existing facility in Sheehan Park. Although no definite time frame has been set on the project completion, it is hoped the facility will be operational some time in the summer of 2011. Lipinski described the park proposal during a kick-off fund-raiser on Sept. 19 at the existing park for the new facility that featured a skateboarding competition; food and beverages sold by Kwik Trip and Culver's Frozen Custard, with all proceeds going towards the park; and SP Skate Park t-shirt sales.

you can tell by his voice that even he knows it will flounder. also, he mentioned some sponsers? when was this video made? the summer? there are still no sponsers or updates on the site, i think people just gave up on it. i bet by this time next year the entire idea of this new park will be just a forotten memory and a facebook page with a few hundred "likes" by people who actually dont really like this, or austin that much.....he'd have a better idea of getting a hoverboard to work on water...

unfourtunately there is no way, not a chance in hell, that $250,000 will be raised. i agree, it would be neat, but the reality of it is is that it is an unrealistic goal. after aprox 6 months there was just under $500 raised, so at that rate, it would take 250 years to raise the money for the park! the year 2260! by then AUstin will be focusing his efforts on a hoverboard park that costs right around $250,000,000,000 and wasting an enirely new group of peoples time and money with his pipe dreams
