I have dumped Google from my computer and turned to another search engine, if we all did this they would have to stop this under handed games they play.

If this is a concern for you then just open Chrome and go to > Options - Basics and deselect > Enable Instant for faster searching and browsing. Nothing will be sent to Google! I've tested this using the same software method used in this video. It's a feature designed to speed up your searching and browsing and is one of the reasons Chrome is faster than IE! Hope this helps? 8-)

@HerrBismarck By default, IE9 doesn't send any suggestions to your selected search provider. The user has to enable search suggestions in order for data to be sent.
