One of several trellis that I'm making for the Garden. Growing vertically helps to save room as well as keep your fruits and vegetables from either rotting or being eating on the garden floor.

  • Well the 2x2 fir that I bought comes in 8, 12 and I think 16 foot lengths. The 8 foot is going to be good enough because once the peas and beans reach the top they can just loop over and work their way back down the trellis. I have heard some people growing peas and beans at 20 or more feet. We shall see what happens.

  • Great video. The eyelets are a great idea, not sure why I never thought of that.

  • Love your trellis!

  • You need to check out new stable cable product. Looped wire make building this trellis much easier.

  • That is really nice! Pleasing to look at and functional!

  • thank you! this is awesome and looks good to:)

  • Thank you sooooo much!!!!

  • Looping the string is a great idea. Thanks for the tips.

  • Wow, that's really cool! How did you know how tall to build it? I'm growing some tomatoes and melons, but I'm not sure how tall the trellis needs to be for them..

  • I like that trellis.. i want one ;) i was going to make a small box 1x5 and do vertical cucumbers. but haven't done a trellis yet.
