  • I'm getting some pink wall tyres & will try this! Is the Scotch Brite pad the non-stick type?

  • @MsHarleyiron Hi there, "Pink Wall Tyres?" i HAVE to see those, didnt even know they existed...thats mad..lol.... and the scotch pads are nothing special, they dont need any soap impregnation, just use the plain dry basic pan cleaning ones, then really hot water and lots of dish washing soap, also if yours are pink... just check the pad to make sure you arent taking the pink off..would hate you to ruin them, i know it works on the white ones.. but not sure on yours, so go lightly and take care.

  • @Moonfleet41 Yup, quite mad! I saw them on a bike for sale at the local Harley dealer & knew I had to have a set :-) Apparently Dunlop have produced a limited no. of them for Harley - getting them fitted today, can't wait! Thanks for the advice, I wasn't sure how I was going to clean them - I didn't want to try any of the products for whitewall tyres. I'll try this carefully, thanks again!

  • @MsHarleyiron You're most welcome, and please send me a picture of them if you can?, im dieing to see what they look like, ride safe too... Del.

  • Wow those were vary white! good tips!

  • @Rasd4Metta ..Thanks Rob... i did an 8" patch like that on my buddies clarty old bobber, they were all creamy grey and worn in looking.....he had to clean them all over then...(he didnt think it was as funny as i did for some reason..lol)
