  • Wait, what? It would take how long to get to mars from where now? For us it would only take a few months.

  • yea, use a white ho'

  • @Militant183220 Besides the sun. And it takes 8 minutes, not 8 seconds. 8 seconds is insane.

  • @eah2119 I thought it only takes arounds 8s!

  • "Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before!" Ya, right. The milky way is 100,00 light years in diameter. The sun will explode before we ever venture outside our solar system.

  • Wow! Light is the fastest thing we know of, yet the light from the closest star takes 4 years to reach us!!!???

  • bend it to zero.

  • if we figure out how to fold through the 4th dimension using quantum physics, we could apear there instantly, without technically travelling. Watch some of those videos on understanding the 10th dimension and you'll get what im talking about.

  • Obviously the only way we are ever going to travel to other stars is if we find some method of faster than light travel. Worm Holes, Warp drive, hyperspace, folded space travel.

We know that the aliens that have visited our planet use gravity for propulsion. At least some of them do. Perhaps that is our way around the theory of relitivity.

One thing is certain: we are NOT going to do this sub-light. We don't have the ability to make a multi-generational ship.

  • great video puts the speed of light in easier terms
