OLPHI The Our Lady of Porziuncola Hospital, Inc. A non-stock, non-profit Tertiary Hospital located in Calbayog City here in this Western Seaboard of Samar Island in the Visayas. It is owned and managed by the OFM Franciscan Religious of the Philippines under the Custody of St. Anthony of Padua based in Cebu City. The hospital offers its best health care facilities to the people of Calbayog and the neighboring towns and islands. Unique in its operations is its collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Calbayog City in order to serve its indigents. Three OFM Friars are assigned at present: Dr. Dennis T. Tayo OFM, Dr. Hermilo A. Villason OFM, Fr. Jun Jungco OFM as the hospital director, medical director and bursar respectively. The Health Care Ministry is a rediscovery for Filipino Franciscans as history tells us that our trailblazers were building hospitals and clinics in their mission areas.
