  • For those with questions - I did a trial run last week and it turned out awesome. 1. My bird was 15 lbs and the motor on my S670 handled it like a champ.

    2. I didn't use the infared until the end so that the middle of the bird would cook through before the outside was toast.

    3. I used the two end burners for the whole time plus the smoker box burner for first 45 min.

    4. Rotisserie was on for the last hour - not to cook, but to crisp.

    5. My total time was 3 hours with the grill at 350.

  • This is amazing. Can you please provide precise instructions on how this was done? Steps, settings, timing etc?

  • Very nice...decided not to try on the family this year, but will remember! Several comments/questions: Cabernet soaked wood chips...never thought of that. Is the flavor interesting? Why water in the drip pan? As others said, when did you turn off the IR burner. Thanks for the video!

  • I noticed that also about Infraed on low then he said he put it on again. Wonder how it turned out. I am planning to try one myself on my Summit 6 burner and a beer can ( not at same time)

  • Thanks for this video...I just got my Summit 670 in September 2010 I have the turkey spinning as I type this out....Can you clarify re: Infrared burner on or off during cooking? I saw you had it o ON at the 15 minute mark...then at the 3 & half hour you stated you turned it back ON...does this mean you had it OFF from 15 minutes to 3 & half hour mark ?

  • Wow, well done! That bird looks amazing. How big a turkey can you rotisserie in the Weber S670?

  • Looks very good!
