Let's Play SWR Yukari (normal) Pt.1: New Game Already?

Yep, new game, Scarlet Weather Rhapsody. I've shown basically everything about Immaterial and Missing Power, so there's really no point in continuing to play it unless someone requests that I should do so.

Oh, and the reason why I'm playing as Yukari is that someone requested it and that playing an awkward, hard to control character, with new awkward controls should be fun!

But then again, it'll probably take a long while to code all of those characters...

Still, I would have loved to play as Mokou or Flandre who would have fit perfectly in the game.

Hong Meiling should have been in the game, but one kind of weather negates all physical attacks (usually when you're fighting Patchy, or a projectile based character). So yeah, I don't think Hong Meiling would fare very well with that condition.

I would think China would get by in Sping Haze like Suika. Suika has weird bullet-melee hybrid attacks which she can use during SH, and I would expect when they get around to patch China in, she'll have the same attack properties.

I don't think any fan will be satified until at the very least, China, Mokou, Flandre, and Cirno for novelty purposes. Personally, it needs more Eirin and M.Hisui styled Nitori.

I dunno, some people can use Suika's projectiles to great effect.

China could have fit into the game if they gave her better projectiles without such a high spirit cost. I can live with her low damage melee though.

I wonder how Eirin would do in a fighting game...

Yep, I see your point. While we're at it, it would have been a funny if Cirno had been added as a joke character. She could use her spell cards to freeze you in place, but would obviously be quite weak. I still hope that they might eventually add more characters in a patch like they did with Meiling in IaMP, but it doesn't look that likely anymore.

Ah, this is good! IaMP is a great game and all, but it was starting to get a bit repetitive. My only gripe about SWR is the character selection. I mean, really, only 15 characters? In a series that has like 100 people now? That's not enough. Mokou and Flandre should both have been in it, as well as either Kanako or Sanae or Nitori, for Mountain of Faith representation. And they shouldn't have taken Meiling out, either. But other than Character-related issues, it's a great game.
