chris pither was fined because the yellow flags were waving over 100m back along the track. he ignored them. all because he was on a flying lap

I think Chris Pither is an awsome driver and should be respected. If everyone looks at the in car footage from Chris Pither's car there should have been two yellow flags out before the accident. He came around a blind corner to find Paul Weel what was he ment to do in that short of time. In all fairness there are always two sides of a story and he should be given the chance to race again in the V8 supercars. On ya chris keep up the good work mate

I heard on tv that paul weel has a busted ankle and some severe bruising. Id say the reaction from the media and track officials (to their credit), is because of what happened to Mark Porter on the same area of the mountain two years ago. I reckon this crash looks more srious than marks, and im very glad that we didnt lose a v8 supercar driver on the mountain. That would be just tragic...

I think you'll find that it is Paul Radisich with the ankle trouble (right broken, left dislocated, chest bruising) - Radisich had a big accident on Saturday. Paul Weel (from this video) has some cracked ribs, and minor bruising.
