Style: Belgian-Style Witbier
ABV: 4%
From Ballast Point:
Summer days and ocean waves inspired our Belgian Witbier-styled Wahoo Wheat. Brewed to be light and refreshing—with a unique citrus character that comes from adding orange peel and coriander to the boil.
What gives our Wahoo Wheat—and other wheat beers—a hazy appearance is the unmalted wheat it's made from. A special yeast contributes to this beer's refreshing tangy flavor—quite different from the banana and clovey Hefeweizens of Bavaria. If you want to be surprised what deliciousness can come from wheat, oats and barley, try one today.

@StumpyJoeJr This was decent and I am looking forward to trying a few more of their beers. A little too much banana on this one.

@ChadzBeerReviews I have heard the same thing. about Sculpin. Also, Beer World in Catskill has about 4 or 5 Cigar City beers.

Last time I was at Brew Crew they had one Ballast Point beer. Halftime has a few of their beers. Their Sculpin IPA is supposed to be amazing, but I havent had it yet.
I've yet to find an American hefe that can stand up to a German one.

It's one of those American wit/hefe hybrid beers that I've seen some American breweries doing. They make some great beers and I think this one is a solid, above average beer. I've yet to be disappointed by anything I've had from them. One of my go-to local wheat beers when the weather is warm.
