Twenty years later and this ident has not dated and is certainly far superior to the idents ITV currently use.

Sod it. Instead of nominating Emmerdale Farm as my choice of programme to remember this ident by, I'll go for Rising Damp instead.

@bryemycaz lol! Actually, I always expect the Emmerdale Farm theme after seeing the Yorkshire TV ident! My mum used to watch it, and it is probably Yorkshire TV's best-known production! (Ok, also Countdown, but that programme was made for Channel 4.)

I really miss the old Yorkshire TV... back when you could press button 3 and get something original.

Why were Yorkshire the only ITV franchise to not have in-vision continuity? Other regions look so cool to me with their in-vision announcers. YTV is the dullest, most un-imaginative TV station ever! In Lincs we used to get Anglia TV, a much more professionally run station and in-vision continuity announcers before we were packed off to Yorkshire, kicking and screaming, I may add.

It was shown prior to a repeat of an episode of The New Statesman, part of the Comedy Classics series.

@DELTIC1976 Any chance you could post a longer clip with the context, i.e. the preceding trail, itv1 ident, continuity announcement, Liquid Gold and the New Statesman titles? Would be great to see how it was when it went out in 2008!

I no longer have the junction, but from memory, there was the itv1 ident, message from the programme sponsor (bed manufacturer I believe), then the ident.
