This year we decided to organize the Italian stop of the Wild In The Parks tour in Cesena, at the awesome Jurassic Skatepark.
The local skateshop KK Double Key is one of the most respected in Italy and a Volcom customer since 1998, so Karim and his crew were totally down with it and helped us out a lot!

With such a hot day it's easy to change your mind and destination, driving to one of the close sea resorts.
The infamous "Riviera Romagnola" (where the locals spend the whole summer chasing girls from Northern and Eastern Europe...) is just 15 minutes away from Cesena, but nothing could stop the skaters coming from all over Italy...
Registration started at 10 am, but, you know, people take it easy on Sunday morning (especially after a long and crazy Saturday night) so the skaters went on showing up until the early afternoon.
Waiting was worth it, more than 80 riders signed in and the guys were on fire!

We started with the 14 and under division.
There were a lot of young guns and some were ripping, it was good to see that skateboarding has still so much appeal among the new generations.
We organized two crowded heats and it was very hard to choose the lucky 15 qualifying for the final.
The final heat was amazing and the kids kept on pushing hard their tricks, especially Dylan Gaggini and Pasquale Grispo.
Then it was the time of the 15 and over division.

The guys struggled 'till the end at a great level like brave knights and it was a hard fight for the podium: Orfeo Ranieri took the first place, followed by Alessandro Pistocchi and Sandro Zacchini But the best was yet to come, with the Pro-Am division.
First two qualifying heats, then the final with the best 15 skaters... a wave of oooh, wooow, yeeeah, siiick came from the public to excite the amazing tricks, but Guido Stazi was the most solid one, no doubt.
The Electric "Hype of the day" prize was taken home by Elmehdi Contaki with a super-stylish fs overcrook on the down rail.
