  • I've got a trower story... in 1988 i went to pittsburgh to see him and the show was sold out so i headed back home. i got lost in the burgh and by chance i asked directions from his sound crew who sent me back cuz they put my name on the guest list. I got to meet the man his band and had front row seats. he is about the most amazing guitarist i've ever met

  • Dewer could melt a cast iron heart, and I swear, Trower and Dewer where placed on earth to meet each other even if just for a while. They flow together like the confluence of the Missouri and the Mississippi. Once together the guitar and vocals where inseparable. They give me the feeling of a mighty river meandering, flowing, inarguable, placid, but preeminent to the estuary .

  • Why are 8 deaf people listening to music vids?

  • fine cool music

  • Dig

  • @ihop54

Mighty well-said, ihop54 .... amen to that. I have always felt that about

them, but could never have expressed it quite as well as you have.

  • Yeah man.

    Paul Rogers.

    James Dewar.

    Frankie Miller.

    Alex Harvey.

    Midge Ure.

All wonderful voices from that golden-age.

    Never to be forgotten

  • Poor Robin will never get the cred (too derivative), but Jimmy Dewar HAS to be in the top 5 of all time for vox along with Paul Rodgers. Dead way too soon.

  • @ihop54 Soooo right!! That's what I've been trying to say, but couldn't say it as perfectly as you just did, From first word to last. You said what my heart was feeling but my brain couldn't verbalize. "Somebody Calling" fills my heart to nearly bursting. Thank you!

  • @ihop54 yeah, i used to think, roy buchanan needed someone like dewer to really come up with some lyrics and to especially cover the vocals; so roy didn't have to sing....that was painful.

  • a god!

  • Such emotion and soul in his voice, pure class
