  • Johnny "Red" Kerr was big to the Chicago Bulls as Chick Hearn was with the Lakers and Johnny Most & Tom Heinsohn were with the Celtics. If there was ever a Mount Rushmore of famous NBA play by play announcers. Johnny Red, Chick Hearn, and Johnny Most would be on it.

  • RIP Johnny "Red" Kerr and Norm Van Lier. Two legends passing away within hours of each other.

  • Damnit I said I wouldn't cry...

  • I'm with you buddy. It's like I lost two good friends even though I never met them. Go Bulls.

  • Wow. After hearing Red for so many years, sometimes you almost believe that voices like his are permanent fixtures that never die. It is hard to accept that he is no longer with us. I'll never forget the times I heard Red with Norm doing halftime. Johnny "Red" Kerr, you will be missed.

  • Johnny Kerr was more than just another announcer. He was their first coach and an important part of the organization for most of their history. He was truly an icon and one who will be truly missed.

  • It's a tough day for a die hard Bulls fan. Tough to watch this clip.

  • Classic MJ doing the baby powder on Red at 3:15.

    Thanks for the memories Red!
