A bunkerbuster, same ones used in Iraq. This is some slow motiong footage I got from the testing of the bomb, you can get the video to keep from www.militaryphotos.net, a great site for military stuff.

  • Look at the shockwave in 0:04.

You can see the shockwave bounce right off the bunker wall and back into the actual target. That is the real power of a bunker-buster, not just an explosion but overpressure.

  • Amazing, how the same penetration is at the Pentagon, no plane could do that, even a 757, couldn't even get that low at that speed.

  • i like the shockwave.. amazing when you can actually see the shockwave using slow-motion cameras.. don't know if this is a fake or not but it is a good video anyways..

  • Say goodnight Mig!

  • What part of it looks fake to you?

  • i love the bunkerbuster!

  • I realise it was high speed video and i've seen this weapons capabilities before as i'm UK EOD (Bomb Disposal) but the footage still looks like it contains computer generated images im my opinion...It is an awesome weapon though

  • Thats what the SDB is designed to do. This is slowed down alot, that bomb is moving incredibly fast, dropped at perhaps mach++ speeds at 30k feet. Made to penetrate 20+ feet of steel reinforced concrete like nothing. The weapon can tell when there is no more resistance and has gone through all the concrete, then a time delayed fuse detonates it in the middle of the bunker. It is the smallest bomb in the airforces inventory at just 250lbs, but as you can see it is very smart and accurate.

  • The weapon is a SDB (small diameter bomb) It's dropped from about 30,000 feet the wings open up and then it glides to its target using GPS. It can glide for about 40 miles. Did notice the "orange cone" on top of the bunker. That was its target point. Pretty awesome

  • Fake? Not if you're in that bunker...
