The idea -- "Synthesis of picture, sound and dance":
"A unique experience that will capture the world", MZ Germany 09/2010

The innovative project "Pas de deux of classic & classic" joins a classical violin-piano duo recital with classical and contemporary ballet.
An idea which Yehudi Menuhin, Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureiev had already realized, but which Berenice & Philomela Terwey have now developed further to a multi-disciplinary multimedia project with stage sets, 3-D-video animations, lighting design and special costumes.

Duo repertoire for violin and piano merges with original choreographies by the first solo dancers Tanya & Julio Acevedo, to an amazing stage performance with dramaturgical effects.
The ballet dancers present their original choreographies in costumes designed by themselves and perform on the same stage as the musicians.

As completion of the audio-visual overall impression, different stage sets matching with the music are projected to the background of the stage which is illuminated after the conception of an illumination designer.
In harmonic atmosphere, the art of four soloists condenses to a synthesis of picture, sound and dance.

The two sisters themselves stated about their so far unique project: "This time we would like to offer our audience more than a mere sound experience and integrate new, fascinating aspects into our work. Due to the fact that some compositions of our program are especially choreographed and danced, the music experiences another powerfully stimulating counterpart. The dance with its elementary power hereby becomes a counterpart to the music. ...
With the video-animated stage designs we take our audience on a journey into our own fantasy. We would like our audience to participate in our own visions and images and thus communicate with them in a unique language."
