in the yellow "first" version +/- 520 HP

in the following "pikes peak" (black, gray and red) version +/- 620 HP

bin in the amarican indy car races the pusht this 2.3 L 5 cyl 20V turbo engine up to 750 HP. and on the dyne test stand audi engineers made 1100 HP possible with this motor. (but it was just a test of max power, they coudent yous it on any race track because the engine would blow up after a viewe minutes)

Thank goodness I'm old enough to have seen these for real in their heyday. Modern rallying is not worth watching, a procession of clone WRC cars, packed full of driver aids on short soul-less rallies. They don't even drive at night anymore!

A Sport Quattro coming through the forest at 3am was one of the finest experiences a spectator could ever have.

Change F1 to make it more interesting.........well don't forget to do the same with WRC.

Why is it that people line the sides of the track to watch the form of racing that probably has cars fly off the track most often? Can you imagine a bunch of people scattering off the track out of the way of an F1 car???? Ridiculous.

i dont normally say this, and i've seen videos of veyrons to 1000hp supras...but this audi is a FUCKING BEAST MACHINE.

the MAJOR drawbacks to the car and engine was that it handled terribly because audi puts the engine way out infront of the wheels making it understeer heavily, plus the 4 wheel drive was the basic 50/50 to all wheels with no diff to shuffle power around so basically it was beating other cars at first but once other manufacturers (peugeot) brought their version of AWD to the group b audi was done for because the peugeot was more nimble with the same amount of power

The A1 and A2 has 330-360hp, Sport s1 has 450-550hp and the S1 E2 has 550-600hp even rumours about 630 in last races.

I've driven the production model sport quattro which has 320 bhp and even though it's nearly 30 years old it makes my scooby feel like a milk float.
