As PNSO Manager, Mr. Snyder oversees performance of PNNL, which is dedicated to addressing the most intractable problems in energy, environment, and national security.
Mr. Snyder joined DOE in 1990 as part of the Defense Programs Technical Intern Program. Most recently, he served as the Deputy Manager for the DOE National Nuclear Security Administration's (NNSA) Los Alamos Site Office (LASO), overseeing approximately $2.4 billion annually in programs and projects as well as providing stewardship for the more than 2,000 facilities on over 23,000 acres comprising Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Prior to this role, Mr. Snyder served as the Assistant Manager for National Security Missions and the Assistant Manager for Project Management at LASO.
Previously, his career involved assignments to all NNSA and most DOE Office of Environmental Management (EM) sites, as well as serving both NNSA and EM programs at DOE Headquarters.
Mr. Snyder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Maryland.
