  • hmmmmm alright thanks.

  • Hmm, to be honest I never felt truly comfortable with the K90 from the baseline (probably because of the weight distribution). The K88 from the baseline is solid and very precise. The "battle-axe with scalpel like precision" is the truest description of it I think. You have to work for these racquets though, but I am feeling that the more I put into the K88 (strokewise) the more I get out of it, whereas sometimes I felt it was mutual with the K90.

  • thats cool, but how is it at the baseline?

  • I would die for a 85, but I think it might be a little too light for the headsize. My opinion is that the smaller the headsize the higher the weight, or swingweight. Anyway, I love the K90 but after I demoed the K88 twice I fell in love with it haha. I think I appreciate the K88 more because it took longer to develop my game with the K90, so switching to the K88 was as easy as going up a shoe size (naturally finding my range with heavier, smaller racquets)

  • yeah i think an 85 would drive me crazy. lol. but, i am afraid to get the k88 because i dont want to shank the ball alot. and why dont u like the k90?

  • Compared to the K90, the K88 feels a lot more stable on every shot, because of the weight and headsize. Its actually a very easy racquet to swing, it took me about 3 hits to get used to it, only because the difference between the two racquets is 10g (I think) and 2sq inches. Serving is amazing and volleys are really consistant. They definitely captured what Sampras had in mind when he wanted a bigger headsize and more weighted version of the PS85.

  • ive heard great things about the kps, how do you like it compared the the k61 tour 90?

  • Yeah thats why I like the KPS 88 over the K90. I think the new X90 Wilsons would be in between the N90 and K90. Less stiff, higher swingweight, slightly lighter mass, more flex.

  • ive played with the k61 tour 90 (my personal favorite) and the ncode 90, and i hated the ncode, way less control.

  • Ncode is really easy on the backhand (single-handed) I found, but serving, forehand, volleys, slice (touch and control) are unmatched with the K90, but the KPS88 is better than the K90 :)
