David Scott is one of the most precise players that I have ever seen play live in my entire life. His skill is just incredible. His band Tuff Luck were amazing as well. I am sure that you will enjoy this little glimpse of guitar greatness. I still remember seeing his picture along side of Shawn Lane in Guitar World magazine in the Spotlight section. He surely deserved that and I wish that more people knew of his great talent.
Rock on Dave!
Bio Information:
Dave Scott has been a musician since the age of 7. He spent most of his life playing guitar and song writing. He started playing in local clubs by age 14 and within a few years started earning a living as a guitarist. At the age of 17, he had his first record, "Tuff Luck" released on an Indie Label. It sold over 50,000 copies. During this time he was featured in many National Publications such as, "Guitar Player", "Guitar for the Practicing Musician" and "Guitar World" magazines, just to name a few.

In 2002 Dave moved to the Los Angeles area to further his career. He spent most of that year working on a project with the late great, Tony Thompson, drummer of Power Station, David Bowie and many others. In 2003 he was doing recordings and live shows with vocalist, Matt Kramer of Saigon Kick. During 2004-2005 he worked on a project, Martyr Plot, with drummer, Ginger Fish of Marilyn Manson. 2006-2008 he was a part of the Los Angeles based group, The Forward. Late 2007 they recorded their debut CD, which is due to be released in August of 2008. Currently Dave is working as a session guitarist.

  • @allogenes37 Peoples memorys are golden it means something to them who gives a fuck what your thoughts are on their memorys if its something that brings them joy why piss on that?

  • @careypeak23

Carey, not that it matters much but Dave was not 16 here. I have known Dave since middle school. When he was 16 he was in a high school band called Invader with my big bro then Cryer then Tuff Luck. He is probably 20 or 21 in this video depending on the year.

  • @learjetboy

Scott Marino was a guitar player. he was James' brother.

  • @MrHaydenhendrix yawn. How impressive. I once took a dump in the same bathroom as Ozzy, Eddie Van Halen and Ronnie James Dio. This information and $4 will buy us a cup of coffee at Starbizz-ucks.

  • I actually managed them

  • my dad and uncle actually went to school with these guys!!!

  • I can't imagine what would happen if you put Micheal Angelo Batio from "Nitro", and this guy together

  • Listen to Dave now,Dave where the fuck did you go!!!

  • @MikeFree01

I have THAT Pink tele bought it from Dave - and it is James Marino not Scott

  • Took lessons with Dave when Tuff Luck came up north. Great player nice guy!!!

  • I hear a lot of paul gilbert and richie kotzen in this guys style. Great clean alternate picking and flawless legato great all around player. I saw these guys back in the day when I was visiting my sister i florida it was in some club near miami beach.

  • Scott Marino wasn't bad either. There were lots of good players in that area back then, but Dave was one of the most exciting. Great band! Tuff Luck!!!

  • I wouldn`t say he was the best but He was up there,i mean Kevin Lysen,Pete Sykes Dembrowski,Jason Bieler,Jimi Fiano arent slouches either.

  • I HAVE THAT GUITAR from him!! Chandler if I remember he was a rep for them

I got it from him around 1989 or 90. I played it on Sundays in South Beach using a Mesa Boogie .22. What a killer axe it is, has the perfect combination of components Kiss approached him at one time to play with them. Dave is a great guy!

  • used to see them at the button south in the 80's went to elementary school and up with the bass player, sucks that the button south was torn down, theres a storage rental place there now, button south was the best rock club in south florida in my oppinion

  • Dave is the best guitar player to ever come out of Ft. Lauderdale... Period...

  • Bring back Sluttin, @ the Button NOW !!

  • Dave is on myspace

  • man, he is the best guitar player I've ever seen before! WTF! where is he now? Is he famous in the world of guitar shredders? HOW THE FUCK! ... look this job ----> /watch?v=0f0sGsa0Y5Q

  • This is the closest I have evern come to hearing anything comparable to Dimebags techniques. Between him and Warren DeMartini, this guy is awesome!!!

  • Ya, sound like Paul Gilbert!

  • the note at :47 is the same note the seam of his pants makes when he moves. good guitarist tho.

  • I dunno, Dave was awesome. Even better live

  • Werent those the days. I was in Nasti Habbitz

  • Jason is still around, Talk to him on facebook and at some of the Fla Panthers games. His promotions/Production company is working some awesome bands now. Look up Bieler Brothers
