This is an absolute wonderfully sad, poignant song, saw Sam in Sheffield, england last year, spine tingling performance, planning a trip to see him in Texas, can't wait.

@lillyandruben actually he's right-handed but had to switch because of his broken fingers on his left hand

@DoeMaarEenPilsje Yes. Totally totally wonderful. I wonder if under the same circumstances...would I be able to forgive like Sam has done?! I really don't know. But I am very grateful for Sam and his music! :-)

One of the most haunting wonderful songs I have ever heard. Makes me cry every time I hear it. The
harmonica is so poignant....just like someone screaming with pain. Absolute perfection.

We get to go see Sam and Gurf in Athabasca on Feb. 12. Really looking forward to it.

Today his performance on the dutch tv-programme "Vrije Geluiden" (Free Sounds) was rebroadcasted, but without the backgroundinformation, just the song. It froze me, too, only to move to put my surroundset on, and give the performance the sound it should have. What an intensity this has. What a story, what a man, what a song.

Indeed tinus, saw it on ' vrije geluiden' today and that's what brought me here. The sadness of what he's been through reflects in his songs.....wonderfull!
