@KJT922010T Are you stupid? They're designed around the same time, the tornadoGR1 was designed to get under the Soviet SAM defences at very low level, hence the ground mapping radar, swept wings for streamlined speed.
The F-14 was a fat sluggish aircraft that was designed to fight high up to intercept bomber formations or combat other fighters, at low altitude the F-14 suffers from far too many weakness's.
They are completely different aircraft, so learn your facts.

@typhoon10 ..the F14 was developed on the back of the failed navy version of the F111, they needed a lighter version which was able to handle carrier life. both awesome airplanes, F111 and F14

Sadly not, it was the RAF. Don't seem to get the German Airforce in the UK as often these days... A great pity!
