He was playing like this probably after a week or two of doing this. he had great skills at the time i first started this game, so i wanted to take advantage of those skills to teach him this concept. After we started this game he really did get the idea that other people like different things. thanks for your comment!

To people searching on 'theory of mind' and autism: although it's looks pretty like people suffering from autism lacks an understanding of other people's minds, this could be a false direction of understanding their specific disorder. It seems they have problems understanding different actions have a mutual goa (take it as a sequence as a wholes) This could also explain why they don't understand facial expressions as a follow up of 'feelings' or 'ideas'.

i remember this also and i truly beleive when i was given this test at that moment i "got it" right as it was explained to me, i devoloped it at that moment. you too??

So theory of mind is knowing that other people have different levels of knowledge or mindsets than yourself? Mother of god it must be crazy not having theory of mind. I'm fairly sure theres different levels of lacking in theory of mind though because a problem I have is I automatically assume because I'm the way I am other people are probably that way too. This has gotten me into massive amounts of trouble.

Absolutely brilliant dude! I've worked with Autistic kids for eleven years and to have theory of mind broken down and exemplified so well was great to see :-)
