  • were can you see the full interview from 2:15?

  • @S0M3TiiM3S It all depends on the acting though, not the race. If it was a choice between a white actor and a Chinese actor, and the white actor was better for the role, it would be pretty stupid to cast the Chinese actor just for the sake of it. I think they picked the best people for the roles as they auditioned, without thinking they need to cast people of certain races, and that's the way it should be. You know?

  • WOW this presenter is shit lol

  • oh yeah, thats right, i had forgotten about that stuff. i can understand ppl getting mad, but M. Knight's priority was probably to find good actors than finding asian ones. i think the guy who's gonna play Aang is asian.. i think?

  • People are getting kinda mad, myself included, because in Avatar:TLA, it has SO many hints of different cultures (Chinese etc.) such as the writing etc that it would make sense to cast at least some main characters as Asian or another race. Just kindly voicing my opinion.

  • i actually do that slanted eye face alot. i do it everywhere, especially at school. i have vision problems and my parents havent gotten me glasses, so i have to pull on my eyes. good thing im not famous.

  • i dont think race is all that important in the Avatar. why does it matter so much what race plays a character? i could understand if the movie was actually about race, but the Avatar is about fighting and stuff. nothing to do with race, i think it has more to do with the acting, and if an Indian/British actor can do a good job of acting, i really could care less that Zuko was actually asian.

  • No problem :)

  • Sorry about that, I wrote that comment a long time ago. I now agree that the ethnicities should be diverse, but they should have kept it consistent and not have the three main characters be white and the rest be different.

  • Point taking but ethnical features are different , thats like saying since germany and Italy are in Europe, an Italian could play a German which would be kinda hard with the clearly different ethnical features. To be more specific they need more actors from the Oriental Nations ex: Chineese, Japaneese, Korean etc.
