Tokyo Game Show 2007: Miyamoto Taisho

Miyamoto wins the Taisho prize for Super Mario Bros. from Game Center CX at the Tokyo Game Show! His prize? Playing World 1-1 in front of a crowd of adoring fans!

Even though Nintendo had no official presence at TGS, Mr. Shigeru Miyamoto made a surprise appearance, stealing the show on the first day open to the public. 4cr and Powet.TV were there, which means you get to be too! Virtually, anyway.

Nintendo pretty much ruled TGS without even showing up! TGS is typically a Sony show (as evidenced by the ENORMOUS Sony booth), so it was kind of surreal they were the only ones NOT showcasing a Wii or DS title... but understandable.

your right. it is a dry year for the WII. especially when its outselling the ps3. and outselling the xbox360 consolewise and gamewise. i don't have a wii yet so i'm not some wii fanboy, i just know this because i know this. its an obvious fact that WII is doing the best right now.

Miyamoto won an award for Super Mario Bros. and stole the show for creating a game 20+ years ago? lolz. Being there = being there. Especially when you are the company.

2008 is going to be a dry year for the Wii, no wonder SSBB was bumped to 2008.
