@Arborem Yea, everything from Portrait of an American Family through Holy Wood (In the Shadow of the Valley of Death) were bloody awesome, then he peaked with The Golden Age of Grotesque, as one of the best albums that I have ever heard, then he fell into his last two albums, which were pretty sub par.

Without doubt his own life as a rock star was the influence for mechanical animals.
But newho, anybody else find it funny that that walmart sold weapons but not Marilyn Manson CD's? :P

I'm so glad I got to see one of his concerts during his Mechanical Animals days and 2 concerts during his Holy Wood days. I just wish I could've seen a concert during his Antichrist Superstar days. Those 3 albums were when Manson was on top of the world. Everyone either loved or hated him back then.

@animefreak2780 Yeah he dislocated his shoulder and I think they had to cancel or postpone the rest of the tour. I remember it made headlines in the heavy metal magazines.
