Obama was stating the obvious. We live in a country where a leading "churchman" blamed 9/11 on the "pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays" and where teens go to their schools commit mass murder on a regular basis. And the root of it (duh!) is the feeling of personal powerlessness. Maybe someone will drag this country kicking and screaming into the modern world at last.

Personally, I'm more ticked off at the corporate news media for taking these statements way out of context and showing off what seems to be a Republican inspired fake outrage hard-on ... the fact that Barack Obama's words are proving true in the eyes of the working class and in local politicians from Pennsylvania just seems to further illustrate his original point as being in touch with the pulse of the people ...
