Absolutely right! Sadly, the west ignores such human rights abuses out of political correctness--ever afraid to say or do anything that might insult Islam.
The silence is appalling. The National Organization for Women says nothing about Arab women being beheaded or arrested for going out without a hijab. Nope, to do that wouldn't be politically correct.

@azhir1979 There are human rights violations throughout the middle east, but it seems only the Iranians are speaking out against it, protesting it, putting their lives on the line. You're very brave! Stay strong and keep fighting!
And I am utterly ashamed of my president (Obama) for remaining silent during the election protests.
His silence is one of the chief reasons I will NOT vote for him in 2012! Obama was a coward. Even reporters were shocked by his silence.

Fair enough I too care for Iran, and it is every Iranian's right to push for excellency and for better living conditions, I am not saying that Iran is the most free country in the world far from it. all I am saying is that all over the world it is the same practice, Ive lived in Iran, Turkey and currently Australia beleive me all of them in their different ways opress and limit freedom of speech and thought. so dont just think you live in hell and bring a bad name for Iran.

None of these people have picked a gun trying to hurt civilians. They simply want to be able to be FREE, think FREE, Wear what they want, Drink what they want, Pray if they want , believe or not, or just simply have equal rights. In US and UK prople are not thrown in jail for expressing their opinions and political leaders are not murdered bacause they are athreat to the state.
