This documentary is part of the series "Under Construction: The Making of a Coast-wise Nation" produced in 2005 by Nova Productions International for the USAID/DA-BFAR Fisheries Improved for Sustainable Harvest (FISH) Project. The series chronicles the development of coastal resource management in the Philippines, providing an eye-opening glimpse of the practices and attitudes in coastal resource management as they evolved over time, and a testimony of the country's groundbreaking attempts to recast itself as a "coast-wise nation."
The opinions expressed here are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of USAID.
