New Dell Mini 10V notebook PC.... and other new stuff...

Just got my new Dell mini 10V notebook. Very cool notebook. Very small, but , not to be confused with a web book because this is a full function computer, not just used to access the internet. Only about 350 bucks.

ur wrong i had samsung, HP, Lenovo netbooks before when they were running XP anf they all had an open slot at the bottom for RAM upgrade. Dell Mini 9 runs XP and it has a slot open for 2 gig upgrade...why they hid the slot for mini 10.?...who knows why.

@DJTEVAdotCOM They hid it because in the later versions of the netbook, xp was no longer available for retail sale and microsoft was trying to force manufacturers to use Vista in everything.

I have their mini 9 and it is better than mini 10. Dell made the biggest idiotic marketing ever by not allowing EZ 2 gig ram upgrade. They lost a big niche market of people that knows without a 2 gig in xp, its a big lag.

@DJTEVAdotCOM Its microsoft that does not allow the 2 gigs in the mini10, not dell. Its microsofts way of forcing all manufactuers of netbooks to upgrade them all to windows vista and 7. I upgraded the memory in my mini 10, took me 15 min, its nice and fast now

My cusin has the same laptop lol! Its cool but I have a question for some reson when I go over there, It zoms in the screen when I click the screen and it wount let me click on the screen zoom out lol it just zooms in more, So do you know how to un zome? lol

U are wrong about that... MS said No more than 1 gig on the netbook BUT it doesn't mean companies can't leave an EZ access slot for people to upgrade themselves. Lenovo, HP, Acer allows u to the consumer to upgrade it themselves. DELL was just being stupid by hiding the slot which they loss alot of sales if u look at forum that complains about DELL iodiotic moves on the mini 10. DELL Mini 9 allows this ram upgrade.
