Was 16 years old when we lost some of rock n rolls greatest rock performers in the greatest rock band of our time in 1977. Lynyrd Skynyrd was my escape from all of the disco crap that was dominating the radio. Thank God we still have Lynyrd Skynyrd. RIP Ronnie, Allen, Billy, Leon, Steve, Dean & Cassie.

@MrPorsche91730 well today 34 years ago is when he moved on. left us with a great deal of good fucking music. thats more than most leave behind.
this song is like life. starts out slow, and by the time you relise your having a great fucking time. bam life is over

There is not many things that can make a grown man shead a tear. But what this band went trrough is unimagineable. The music they left behind, and the great ones we lost. I have huge amount of respect for the rest of the band who played without R.V.Z. I think I would brake down halfway through a song. Without him there live, errie. He was Skynyrd. That said, I play guitar and think singing is the easiest thing to do. Never cared much for singers. But he was irreplacable. There was only 1 R.V.Z

I had never watched this before, and about halfway through, I just started crying for all the friends- and FRYNDS!- that I- and we- have lost. God Bless them all! Thank God they're not forgotten!

I am so happy to find this here! Thank you for posting it. When I was a kid I listened and recorded the Volunteer Jams and KB Flower Hour shows all the time. I was practically in tears when the survivors came out and played this version. My tape wore out years ago and I have been trying to find this ever since. Little did I know that it was sitting right here all this time. I thought it was gone forever!! THANK YOU!!
