We all know the Chinese word for sorry, yes, that is 对不起.
The middle one is 不 in 对不起,不 is No. 5 commonly used Chinese character.
不is a Chinese character which very simple and very easy to understand. Means not or no.
For example, 它是学生吗?Is it a student? 它不是学生。No. it isnt.
Lets learn a four-character idiom which is 不见不散,见means see or meet 散means go away.
This is an idiom to express encouragement for someone to go somewhere.
Literally, it means we dont go away before we meet.
In English, the idiom of be there or be square is the best translation of 不见不散.
