Because there is nothing what so ever impressive in the remotest possible way about a shit animation like this when you consider something like the Toyota Facebook page just released - but - everyone is going WOW, holy combustible crap batman its incredible, this changes everything because now I can do really shit stuff in javascript / css/ html.

@audas Flash in an Adobe product, you need a plugin to play it. Some mobile devices do not support it etc. HTML is not software of a product or company, it is a web standard, platform independant, no plugin required. Movies and sound play from browser.

By the way - flash leads both app stores for best apps, is the number one tool for rich internet apps and web based console gaming and is a thousand times more complex than anything in JS, CSS or html.

@audas Umm you still need HTML5 to use flash in your site retard, so I don't know why you think HTML5 is useless, it's just a markup language, but it is still the heart of your website, CSS is only design and Flash is for gay ass kiddie games. Name me one thing that html5 is better for than flash.

Further flash IS PART of web design and you have always been able to use that, what you can do with html5 and css is about 1/20th of what Flash could do ten years ago.

So whats new ? Nothing.

If you were to use Flash, and LEARN to really program, then you would be able to do things a MILLION times more amazing than this.

@audas HTML5 and CSS are amazing really. You can now make even more amazing websites with it. CSS3 has created so many new and easier features in web design. If you enjoy creating art in code - CSS3 is your thing, HTML5 is your base. It's amazing what you can now do, go lookup how boring old web sites looked - This is web design, You can use Flash, but for other things, HTML5 is better than Flash and CSS3 will spice up your page. So overall, quit hating because HTML5 and CSS3 are quite amazing.

@audas We all have to start somewhere don't we? CSS3 and HTML are pretty complex, and not everyone will be skilled enough to make something like what is on the Toyota Facebook page. Instead of putting this guy down for making a simple animation, maybe you should encourage him to improve. Complaining is very counterproductive.

Yup, with inverse kinematics flash could do this in about 1 minute - less. in fact with flash 11 you could make this, in 3d, interactive with Microsoft kinect, in about 5 minutes.

You could "program" it as you like to call it in less than 10 minutes as well. (Yes flash is primarily a programming environment for the last 6 years).

The point is - well read my comment again - this is shit, and only shows us how shit css3 and html5 are.

@audas This isn't Flash, it's CSS which is alot harder to code an animation than make on in a program. The fact it's possible with this code is amazing, yes we could do it in Flash, but that's not the point.

No (I can't be 100% sure about this, but) most likely You are running a version of Windows that uses the "Aero GUI"and that uses DirectX. And that somehow leads to You getting a ´"FRAPS-reading", not that he (A.Hoyer) has explicitly used directX on the page.

That's my best guess as to why that happens.
