Thanks for the information: at first, before listening to it, I thought this song was from Finland. When spoken in Finnish a place called 'Sointula' sounds very much like a small town from Southern Finland. =)

Thanks, i do have a friend from Soumi-Finland he is a long penpal almost 30 years.Simo Soininen. I'm now living in Xalapa, Mexico. Original from the best 2/3 island of the world. Dominican Republic.

Sointula is Finnish for Place of Harmony. It was settled in 1901 on Malcolm Island, near Alert Bay, on northern Vancouver Island, by Finnish Utopian settlers seeking a better life from the indentured slavery of John Dunsmuir's coal mines. The Finnish community remains to this day.
