They only work when taken as a suppository.
Next time do it properly, guys.

@mohanaturo Got to pull you up on one point here, Homoeopathy is not a science. Please try again.

@32bituser The water molecules HAVEN'T forgotten all the poo they've had in it:
they're plotting their revenge right now!
(Sorry for the 10-month late reply, but I couldn't resist a good punchline for your setup!)

@mphello Those of us who spend most of our time fighting anthropogenic global warming (AGW) deniers still face this: "well, humans could not possibly change the climate because we're raising the fraction of CO2 in the atm by such a small amount: 280ppm to 400ppm is still only 400ppm =4*10^-4" I counter: if you look at video from outerspace, you'll see what an incredibly thin shell the atmosphere is compared to the rest of the globe.

I can tell you all a very simple "psychological" explanation for why some folks believe in homeopathy. (I don't like the term "psychological". I prefer either logical or illogical. This explanation SEEMS logical to these folks.) And that is, even "standard allopathic" medicine is given in such "small" amounts: "a 5mg oxycodone pill! My GOD, I weigh 20 million times that! Homeopathic doses are barely any different! (compared to the weight of my body)"
Anyone care to comment?

I find it funny, but the concept of the sleeping pill demonstration is right with homeopathy. Adults 2 pills, children to the age of 12, 1 pill. Wouldn't 1 pill be a higher dosage than 2 pills? That is the reasoning behind homeopahy. A lower dosage has a larger effect. It would be suicidal to touch a pill, then touch food you are eating, for you are getting the least dosage without not taking any. That would be an extremely dangerous amount of the medicine. Now does that make any sense?

@DrNancyMalik Funny how a sleeping aid (pill) that I had no idea was a homeopathic remedy had no effect on me. I took successively stronger doses with no effect whatsoever. Not until I found James Randi's video on homeopathy did I realize what was going on. He had the same bottle of pills I had and he took the entire bottle, with no effect either. Homeopathy is a scam. All you get is the placebo effect. Nothing more. Gullible people believe in homeopathy.
Evidence of homeopathy is undeniably positive and consistent. It's a human evidence of experience, gathered from a real-world observation in a real-world setting (not in an ideal artificial laboratory) giving real-world solutions.

@skepticzonepodcast Well it's worked for me all my life. Does conventional medicine "work" then? Surely if it did there wouldn't be so many issues with it.
If you are willing to put your money where your mouth is then why don't you go to a Homeopath instead of a doctor?
You call yourself a Sceptic but it seems to me you have made your mind up already.
Sceptics always say that the patient "might have healed anyway" so how can you prove to someone who doesn't want to be proved to? :)

@GlastonburyGwen I take it this means no, you won't put your money where your mouth is. "It works for me" stories are not evidence in science. Homeopaths are making billions world wide selling tap water. Follow the money trail.

@skepticzonepodcast I'm afraid I don't see how this is "properly testing".
Homeopathy treats people as individuals, if you and I had a cold we would not show the same symptoms, so why treat us same way?
I will put my life in the hands of Homeopathy every time, especially as conventional medicine can be so damaging that they have to state the hundreds of possible side effects on each packet, which the majority of the time is worse than the actual illness! Truth is GSK and such co's make millions.

@GlastonburyGwen Let's stick to your amazing claims about water. Are you ready to put your money where your mouth is? We are and $100,000 for YOU if you can prove magic water and sugar, sold at thousands of times its real price, works as you claim. Big Homeopathy, making millions of dollars from tap water.
